Prior to entering a treatment facility, it is sometimes medically necessary to begin in the Inpatient Detoxification program. The Inpatient Detoxification Treatment program is designed to assist with physiological and psychological effects of acute withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. The program’s purpose is to provide a medically safe, professional and supportive withdrawal experience while preparing and motivating the individaul to continue treatment after discharge from the program and progress toward a full and complete recovery. The inpatient detoxification program can last from 5-10 days depending on each individual’s progress.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) as well as non-medication assisted treatment is provided depending on the wants and needs of the individual and in collaboration with the physician. This setting is distinguished by services provided in a safe, secure facility-based setting with 24-hour nursing coverage and ready access to medical care. This is for individuals who need round-the-clock supervision to successfully manage withdrawal symptoms or when there are additional complications or risk factors that warrant medical supervision. Supportive counseling as well as daily activities are scheduled for the individual once they are stabilized.

The program is staffed to ensure adequate medical and psychosocial assessment, observation and care, and referrals to meet the individuals needs of the individual. Additionally, Om to Home develops and maintains a rich network of treatment providers for referrals after completion of the program to ensure the best possible match of the individual for ongoing treatment services.
